Job context

In the context of the advanced characterization project, the IPVF characterization team aims to develop new characterization techniques, several of them based upon photoluminescence. The team is commonly using Time Resolved PhotoLuminescence and develop a new technique based on Modulated PhotoLuminescence. The perovskite team is on the other hand at the state of art of perovskite fabrication. In order to improve further the perovskite cells, characterization is needed to find the limiting physical factors.  A measurement campaign with the new coupled MPL/TRPL technics could allow to achieve part of this goal.

Main missions

The student will be in charge of a measurement campaign on perovskite solar cells with the modulated photoluminescence setup. The campaign will consist in:

  • Complete the existing bibliographical research
  • Choosing a protocol for measuring the cells (from absorber to complete cells)
  • Perform the measurements
  • Use a Matlab home code (already written but possibly modifiable) to make a first interpretation about the results
